Twister
All of the natural or human calamity related movies. They’re the same. Same story, just presented with new actors and new dialogues. Every part is same, the way they progress, the unfolding of the main plot, the fall of the hero, and the ultimate victory in the climax. That is all I have to say about this multi-million dollar movie.
Surprisingly it ranks #56 on the IMDb All-Time Worldwide Box office. Bagged a total of $494,700,000. A lot of money for something this shitty.
The divorced couple kiss at the end of the movie. In new movies of this genre, that kiss would happen somewhere near the ending of the third quarter of the movie. The last quarter is dedicated to pure action these days, which would be ended on a happy and joyful note. Or maybe a cliffhanger for a sequel.

UPDATE: Apparently Randall Munroe, the creator of xkcd, agrees with my viewpoint on Twister. He posted a comic today.

Are you on some sort of…movie watching spree these days?

Well you can say that. I spend a lot of time studying these days so when I’m finally free at night, I watch a movie or blog (or both) to relax.
