Power Cuts Galore

For those who don’t know, our block never, ever used to have power cuts. Even when the neighbouring blocks were having a 3-4 hour power cut daily, we had none. This was courtesy the 4 NDPL engineers living in my block, who used their position very appropriately to remove the name of our block from the list of blocks where power is to be cut.

But recently we heard the neighbouring blocks had complained to NDPL about this. And the consequence has been that we are getting 3-4 power cuts everday each one of them ranging from 10 minutes to 2 hours. This had made life impossible, considering that I am so helplessly dependent on my PC to make my life move ahead. And even the dumb UPS has given up. All it does is act as a multiplug, giving us a way to push in 3 plugs in 1 socket, and this, after I religiously keep it on for charging 24/7. Beh.

My Dad would say this is a sign from ‘God’, and ‘God’ wants me to study rather than spend time online. Guess I have no choice but to yield. So long, folks.
