It was same for all ranks, not only for ‘low’ ranks. I did not understand why couldn’t they do it immediately. And yes, could’ve easily been done online. BITS did it online.

So there was no stream allocation on counselling. Only collection of options!

Why should that be, I wonder. Is it the same for all IIT counselling or is it only for the low ranks (sorry Appoorv)

This could have been done online!
