I gave bitsat today (12th) and have got 303 marks.
i found the paper a bit lenghthy but im content.
whats ur opinion on the cut off?
also can you tell me about the dual degree programs
would a dual mech. be better than say a b.e. in civil?

hey guys i think cutoff will fall because hydrabad cmpus is also starting this year so number of seats will increase and the cutoff will fall a bit . the paper was also not as simple as the previous years.

I THINK THIS YEAR THE CUTOFF OF BITSAT WILL BE 250 BECAUSE OF MORE COLLEGES BEING OPENED THIS YEAR

uhmm i wanted to add this. i answered manipal pretty late and trust me i found it tougher than most of my friends who answered much earlier.and ya the bitsat exam wasnt exactly piece of cake. i got like 96 right and 26 wrong which totally cost me. the chem sucked big time and physics was good and really tested ure concepts. maths was more of formulas

i scored 237 in bisat, will i be selected in any of the campus of bits pilani?????

I scored 304.. is there any chance of me gettin into Pilani…i wont mind even if I get Civil..nd..I’ve heard from many ppl that this year the paper ws tougher than it ws the previous year..in addition to the launching of a new campus…do u think that the cut offs will fall..????

i want to say one thing that if u attempt those extra 12 question you have very good chance of getting above 350.they are very(very)easy.

hi….i tok the test on 19th .but i found there were few questions (5-6) whose none options were matching with the answers….like in maths we had to find (for a question) the focus and directrix of a hyperbola…but from the options only focus were matching not the directrix…nd so i marked it…
were these kind of attempts counted as wrong answers…i scored 238…wat r my prospects….

im a senior that is a year elder to u guys n…was the last student to be admitted in bits last year…that is…i scored 260..got pharmacy
i personnally believe that sneezy is doing agr8 job n i agree that the cutoff wud drop but not by 30-40 but ya certainly 5-9…as predicted by my professor….
that is wat he says…even though the new campus at hyderbad has added 600 seats….
but the no. of students getting 300-350 has also increased drastically….

but dont u worry the beniffit here is that there is ample amount of cjnces that ppl wud opt out of bits pilani…for fee structure…the course offered…n increaded in seats in iit
so keep ur hopes up..n listen to sneezy…

sneezymelon u are doing great job but pl take care before u give ur opinion. it should be consistent. To Abhishek (19 May 2008) who scored 289, u have suggested that he is unlikely to get BE in any of the campuses. But to pi (22 May 2008) who scored 273, u have opined that he may get Mechanical. How ?

I think it is high time you start replying or to satisfy the curiosity of all, just give ur final estimate of cut-offs of various courses in all three campuses. I know it is only an estimate by you yet it helps us to know the estimated cut-off based on experience.

but the decision rests with you whetehr u want to do msc…or not
