An old 1982 movie, that my parents insisted they wanted to watch on Holi, to revive old memories. It has been directed by Mahesh Bhatt, and is based on his real life affair with Parveen Babi.

Excellent movie, absolutely flawless acting on the part of Shabana Azmi. Though the story may have become old for today, because, movies like Aaina and Pyar Tune Kya Kiya are based on the same lines, but for 1982, the movie is a very bold one. Though it was a bit slow for me, I didn’t lose interest. And they did not unnecessarily drag on scenes, the story moved on smoothly with focus on different characters at appropriate timing. A nice watch, but for the people who appreciate serious movies and roles.
