AIEEE 2008 Results
UPDATE : We have put up a post on the Frequently Asked Questions About Top Engineering Colleges. We are including the opinions of all the people who comment over there. So if you have something to say, or any of your experiences/knowledge to share, submit it as a comment over there.
Without any prior notifications, CBSE has suddenly released the results for the All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) 2008, four days before the expected date, that is 7th June, 2008. Even by the CBSE standards one would anticipate that the result would be put up on the official website for the exam, however the results are available ONLY on the CBSE result website.
Sneezy Melon was the first person to inform me about this sudden shocker released by CBSE.
My rank in AIEEE was 5499 and I have scored 184 marks in the exam. My state rank (for Delhi) is 613.
Going by the results, astonishingly about 3.5 lakh students have scored negative marks which is very shameful. 9.5 lakh students sat for the AIEEE 2008, so even scoring a rank under 30,000 means that you are from the top 3% of the science scholars of a huge country like India that feeds on education.

you will not get admission in even the worst college in india with even your rank. even a scheduled tribe+physically handicapped combo quota cant fetch you a seat in the worst college in the country.

@md.sameer – Most probably you would get some low demand course in your state university.
@varun – Please no trolling.
@swetha – He may get a seat in JP Noida or other regional colleges.
@anusha – No idea about B. Arch, but for engineering, you may get admission
@ab – you may get a seat in Thapar University or maybe Dhirubhai. But not NITs.

Hi there,
My brother scored AIR 24751 and state rank as 3472. Could you berief me as to where can he get admission? He wants CS or IT branch preferably. I am sure about JP Noida but want to know what other good colleges can he expect? Or is it like this rank is not enough to get him a decent engineering college?

@ Richa Your brother rank is 24751.. I dont think he will get CS/IT even in Jp Noida …last year it had closed at around 19k but you may get ECE but that too not sure this year .so plzz send ur bro so some other gud and descent engineering college.

My rank in AIEEE,under STcategory is 1677 and state rank(Delhi)is 54th. Can I got admission in NSIT/DCE or other Engg college in Delhi.If not possible in Delhi then which college and which course will be appropriate for me. Pl suggest.

Dears,i can tell you only about Delhi NCR colleges very well for B.Tech,M.B.B.S(also any other professional course) courses becouse last 14 years i am teaching in this Region.i don’t hav knowledge about Gujrat,Maharastera,Laksdeep,Orrisa.. engg colleges.So, for that u plz, contact any consultant there.

How many students get the AIEEE exam from the Gujarat center?
And How many students go to the coaching class for the AIEEE exam?
